Sandbox Missions
Every mission has a small network, a fault, and a question. Learners change routes, masks, or gateway choices and watch the result.
Hands-on network labs for entry-level learners
PacketHarbour Academy turns beginner networking tutorials into browser-based network training with sandbox missions for routing, addressing, and protocol behaviour.
You do not need a lab bench. The browser sandbox gives you a small network, a problem, and room to get it wrong safely.
Reset often. Nobody breaks a real network in this sandbox.
The Labs
Read a little, click a lot. Each lesson pairs a short explanation with interactive virtual IT labs and one practical check.
Every mission has a small network, a fault, and a question. Learners change routes, masks, or gateway choices and watch the result.
The address drills start small, then get awkward. That is on purpose. Real networks rarely look like neat textbook rows.
The OSI model lab follows a packet through layers so learners can see what each step adds, checks, or passes along.
Vendor-neutral study routes cover the skills used in entry-level network exams: routing, IP addressing, protocols, and evidence-led troubleshooting.
PacketHarbour made routing feel less like a wall of terms and more like a trail I could follow.
Nadia Ellis, Career Switch Learner, Severn Desk SystemsLearning Path
Each track teaches one concept, asks learners to try it in a sandbox, then pushes them to explain why the packet moved or failed.
Learner Notes
I finally understood why a default gateway matters. Not in theory. In the lab, where I broke it twice.
Evan Shaw, IT Support Trainee, Moorland Health
The subnetting practice was strict but kind. Wrong answers came with a useful nudge.
Lina Foster, Student, Westbridge Technical Institute
Our onboarding group used the same words for the same failure after two weeks. That alone was worth it.
Samir Clarke, Support Lead, Harbourline Services

Yes. The first labs assume you know very little beyond using a computer. IP addresses, routing, and packet flow are introduced slowly, then tested in small browser exercises.
No. Labs use simulated ranges and practice topologies only. Learners do not touch live business networks.
We teach vendor-neutral networking skills used in entry-level certification study: subnetting, protocols, troubleshooting language, and basic infrastructure reasoning.
The topology view, routing prompts, subnet checker, OSI model lab, and protocol drills all run in the browser sandbox.
Yes. Many support teams use the learning paths to help new technicians speak the same language before they touch production tickets.
